The mission is just starting.

More than 90% of the world’s businesses are small businesses.

Around 400 million of them: the bakery, the plumbing firm, the regional accountancy practice, the family logistics company. They are the most numerous businesses on Earth, the most connected, and the least equipped to defend themselves.

A cyber poverty gap that no one is closing.

Before SMB1001, the cybersecurity guidance that existed was mainly written for enterprises with security teams and budgets to match. It was never written for SMBs. This is the cyber poverty gap, and it is one of the most significant unaddressed risks in the global economy.

Cyber Poverty Gap

Typical Small & Medium Businesses

SMB1001:
Helps close the gap.

A practical, certifiable, multi-tiered cybersecurity standard written in their language, governed by an independent committee, and updated every year.

You already know these faces.

Every one of them is somebody's whole livelihood. And the person they trust to protect it is you.

None of them has a security team. None has the budget for one. What they have is you. For years you have carried that trust with tools that were never built for them: enterprise frameworks that asked too much and gave back too little.

The mission is simple.

Make SMB1001, the cybersecurity standard built for businesses like these, permanently free for every one of them. Free for all means the price no longer stands between your clients and being protected, and the standard you would recommend becomes one they can all actually reach.

This is your moment to lead it.

How SMB1001 will become free.

DSI is a not-for-profit. The mission is funded through three commitments.

A community of Mission Supporters. The myriad of organizations that support the mission. Their memberships sustain the operations, the research, and the professional infrastructure behind the standard, and they receive the full commercial benefits of the ecosystem in return.

A Mission Supporter organization backing the SMB1001 standard

A mission only a community can deliver.

Four hundred million small businesses will not be reached through a website; they will be reached through the people they already trust with their technology. Their Technical Support Specialist. That is why this membership exists.

Mission Benefits

Mission membership returns real, usable business value, including the full DSI Authorized Partner Programme at no additional cost.

Immediate benefits

From the day you join, you will receive the Commercial Use Licence (CUL) for the current 2026 release of SMB1001 valued at $995 + tax as an early-joiner bonus; your commercial delivery rights begin immediately! This release will be current or all organizations certifying to the 2026 release throughout 2027. From 1 January 2027 all TSS’s servicing more than three (3) clients will be required to hold a Commercial Use Licence (CUL).

Every professional body has a founding chapter. This is ours.

The names recorded at the very beginning are the ones that make the mission a reality. Securing this permanent, time-limited status grants you exclusive benefits and a lasting place on the Honour Wall. Best of all, this elite status is secured by a blockchain-verified NFT credential, providing a permanent digital certificate that definitively proves your standing as a recognized founding supporter of the mission.

Be a leader. Champion the mission.

If you’re a Technical Support Specialist, you already live this work. You are who a small business calls when something goes wrong, their trusted advisor. Mission Supporter Membership is a clear demonstration of your leadership. As a founder.

The mission is real.
Your support empowers it.

The cyber poverty gap is a massive risk to the global economy, as 400 million small businesses are connected yet completely unequipped to defend against cyber threats. Dynamic Standards International (DSI) mission is to help close this gap through SMB1001, a practical cybersecurity standard written in their language.

DSI is an ACNC-registered not-for-profit charity with no shareholders.

Our mission is funded entirely in the open. This structural purity ensures that every dollar from our Mission Supporters is maximized and funneled directly back into sustaining SMB1001 as a free resource for every small business on the planet.

If you still need other options…

From 1 January 2027

Any TSS managing SMB1001 services for four or more client organizations must hold a current Commercial Use Licence. The licence is available standalone from US$500 per year, the lowest-cost route to compliance, and it is included in both the Authorized Partner Programme and Mission Membership. If you will hold a credential anyway, the question is what do you want yours to be?

Other pathways

  • Want the full delivery credential? The Authorized Partner Programme. From US$750 per year or US$75 per month at partners.dsi.org.
  • A TSS who needs only the licence, or building platforms and tools on SMB1001? The standalone Commercial Use Licence. From US$500 per year at partners.dsi.org/licence.

Common questions.

No. It is a commercial membership fee that returns a full suite of business benefits, including the Authorized Partner Programme. In most jurisdictions it is treated as an ordinary business expense; please confirm with your own adviser.

The Champion position is open.

SMB1001 Unlocked - Free for All will carry the name of one organization: the Founding Legacy Champion that makes the standard free for the world. The position is exclusive, it is open, and it will only ever be held by one organization at a time. If yours has the scale and the conviction, the prospectus explains the rest.

The prospectus is shared in confidence with qualified organizations.
